Mia/Shanana's office

That's the view from my office window.
The Capitol photo above was captured
by zooming in from there.
I was at work today.  See the photos of all of you?  That's a photo of the bulletin board next to my computer.  Makes me happy all day long to see all of you!  You'll also see the red guitar ornament from LaWanda, to remind me that the slide blues guitar career is still ahead.  And the lucky fish ornament.  I say "lucky" because the Chinese believe fish bring luck and so do I.

Penny Possum

Penny Possum surprised and hissed at P. Tom/Papa tonight when he opened the door from the sunroom to the back deck.

Lazy Sunday

Hi Emma, Mya, and Otis!

Emma, how is your very last Sunday before school starts?  Do you have all your notebooks, pens, pencils, etc.?  Do kids still have to bring a box of Kleenex at the beginning of the year?

Mya, did you play in the water again today?

Our niece Sarah, Tom's Mom Evelyn, and the Birthday Boy
Hi Emma, Mya, and Otis.  Can you believe P.Tom/Papa turned 59 on August 9?  Next year, we'll have a big party to celebrate his 60th.  To celebrate this year, we had dinner with Grandma Evelyn and Sarah at NXNW, Sarah and Shanana/Mia's favorite restaurant in Austin.

Lulu Grace Ollison-Lewis

Leaving Reno

Sweet little Lulu Grace Ollison-Lewis came into this world July 30, 2010.  I didn't want my granddaughter's first and only birthday to end. My flight left Reno, Nevada, at dusk, and I stared at the sunset, wanting to catch every last minute of Lulu's day.  We flew directly north, apparently faster than the speed of darkness. For the next hour-and-a-half, night fell behind us as we chased the sunset all the way to Portland.  Thank you, Lulu Grace, for your spectacular "hello" and "good-bye."

We love you and miss you, sweet angel!
