Tragic flash flooding (July 4-5, 2025)

In catastrophic flash flooding, the Guadalupe River rose more than 26 feet in just 45 minutes, with rainfall totals exceeding 20 inches in some areas of the watershed. Our hearts go out to all those harmed.

"The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play."

Remember The Cat in the Hat?

Papa Tom is ready to drive around even though citizens are urged not to get out in the heavy rain. We received 3.58 inches.
Standing water at the corner of Alguno and Woodrow.
The neighborhood Arroyo Seco (Dry Creek)
flowed with rushing water.
The overflowing gutters couldn't keep up with the heavy rainfall even though Papa Tom had recently cleaned them out.
