Christmas with Emma, Al, and Joyce

We so enjoyed celebrating Christmas with Al, Joyce, and Emma on December 20th in Waco.  Evelyn joined us too.  Traffic was light and we arrived so early that we stopped at the cheese/chocolate/cake shop in Lorena for a cup of coffee before arriving at River Valley school for Emma's Christmas performance.  Then it was to the Horns for Joyce's fabulous broccoli cheese soup, perfect on a crisp winter's night.  Unfortunately, almost all the photos from the evening are blurry.  Above:   At the last moment, Santa Emma improvised the beard from a white plastic bag.  Among all the other things I learned that night:  "Donner" is German for "thunder" and "Blitzen" is German for "lightning."  And the fastest of the reindeer is not Comet, as I thought it should be, but Blitzen, if I remember correctly.  Right, Emma?
