Gingerbread houses

On Thursday, December 8, we visited the national  gingerbread house display at the  Grove Park Inn in Asheville.  There were plenty of creations besides houses.  Can you believe the above display is totally edible?

Papa Tom with a classic gingerbread house.  Look at how the door is made from a Hershey's bar and chocolate covered pretzels are used for trim.

This classic Singer sewing machine is edible, as are the mice.  Eww!

The carousel horse details are perfect, down to the silver horse shoes and  ankle bells.
