Advocating for adopted persons at the Capitol (Thursday, August 31, 2023)

Rep. Cody Harris sponsored HB 2006 which passed without objection in the House. Unfortunately the companion Senate bill didn't get as far as a committee hearing. The new law would have given adult Texas-born adoptees unrestricted access to their original birth certificate. Jeff Carlson (left) is Rep.
