Thursday, February 27: an afternoon in the Quarter

St. Louis Cathedral

Impatiens in bloom

I think this was on Royal Street

Segueway officer patrolling Jackson Square.  He said he can get up to about 12 miles an hour, not fast enough to catch someone initially, but, as he pointed out, he can outlast them.

Joey, who works at the Mardi Gras mask store.  I asked him about the sock monkey cap.  He said he was wearing it because it was cold out.

Street musicians were everywhere.

Human statue.  She curtsies when you give her a tip.
