Basilique Notre-Dame: July 4, 2014

The Basilique Notre-Dame (Basilica of Our Lady), in the Gothic Revival style of architecture, can hold up to 3200 worshippers.  James O'Donnell, a New York architect and Irish Protestant, designed the church.  He converted to Catholicism days before his death from pneumonia so he could be buried in the basilica.
