Death Valley: Dante's View (August 28, 2021)

OK, so we visited Death Valley at the end of August. And we didn't always stay in sight of our car.  And it did hit a high of 117 degrees that day, cooler than the record-breaking 130 degrees in August 2020. But we're from Texas.  Hot is a relative thing.
Death Valley from Dante's View (5,476 feet), named for Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, which describes nine circles of Hell.  The white area is the Devil's Golf Course, with a crust of salt up to 6' thick.
If you saw Star Wars (1977), this is where our heroes stood overlooking the fictional Tatooine spaceport of Mos Eisley.
The bees must have been out foraging.  Didn't have to share the space.
